In this video, I’ll cover 4 interesting things about network marketing, and

1. Hidden Power of Personal Branding in MLM
Many network marketers rely solely on their company’s brand or products. But the most successful people build their personal brand first, which creates trust and loyalty between you and your prospects.

YOU Inc / Reality: Beachbody just changed to an affiliate marketing only model. Rodan & Fields did the same a couple months ago. Years ago, I had a company shut down after I built a downline in over 7 countries. This stuff happens.
I learned, and want to pass to you, that you need to become “go-to” person for your niche rather than just another distributor in an MLM company.
Couple key points:
Don’t own the business, you’re not in the board room when the owners make decisions.
But you can use the opportunity those owners gave you by building and owning the list of prospects your marketing and branding efforts attract to you.
I just made a sale this week from someone sitting on my email list for 3 years! If I hadn’t done what I’m teaching you here, they would have bought from someone else.
How do you build your own brand?
I encourage you to learn three main skills you need in this area to compete in the Internet age:
- Social media content marketing
- Automated lead generation systems (create sales & downline members autopilot)
- Get people off social onto a list (the contact info) that you own
THink about the person who bought this week after three years sitting on my list.

2. Duplication Isn’t Just About Recruiting—It’s About Leadership
Duplication is often oversimplified as “just recruit and teach your downline to recruit,” but true duplication involves creating strong, independent leaders who can thrive without constant hand-holding.
Part of leading in this area is, Do you know how to recruit someone today and get them making $500 within 2 weeks w/ a frictionless launch plan?
If not, guaranteed income with opportunities like Lyft and Instacart compete with your opportunity.
Do you have a 30 to 120 day DFY social media plan so your new distributors with no social media and MLM experience know exactly what to do by simply following the plan you laid out for them?
Further, if you have people on your team who can recruit but don’t know how to train, bingo, they use your system to get THEIR people going.
You don’t need to do this when your team is only two people, but eventually you need this type of Team System that gives each new person specific actions to do starting from Day 1 for a quick start.
Now a system is great, but you also want to stay open minded about becoming a better leader than you are now. Be careful about getting cocky and overconfident in your current leadership skills even if you’ve built a sizable team. Remember, new tech keeps coming to light…I’m not even going to get into AI in this video. Keep improving your leadership. We can’t lead others if we don’t know how to lead ourselves. Impossible.

3. Not All Network Marketing Companies Are Created Equal
Some companies are better positioned for long-term success than others and I want to help you understand what to look for in an MLM company beyond the surface-level promises they all make.
Here are 3 major aspects your NM company should include if you want to insulate yourself against losing everything you built like the people in Beachbody or Rodan + Fields recently did…
First, a main focus from the company leadership should be to sell the product or service…this can’t be a lesser priority than recruiting. That becomes an FTC problem, where the government goons start to see it as a pyramid scheme, as opposed to a company selling helpful products or services.
Second, your comp plan must reward personal production to encourage those product or service sales. Remember my first point about branding? There are people out there with huge social media followings already you can recruit, and show them how they can immediately turn their audience to customers…but only if your comp plan leans heavily on rewarding those personal sales.
Third, your company must allow you to sell on social media. Even if they don’t have systems to teach you HOW, they must not prohibit you from social selling. If they do, you’re in a company with short-sighted leadership from the top down who doesn’t get where we are as a society. You have a difficult decision to make about finding a forward-thinking company if you truly want to know how to build a network marketing team.
4. Power of Consistency Over Time
Consistency—not flashy launches or occasional big wins—is the real driver of long-term success with building a large network marketing team.
You need to learn everything I’ve already talked about…
Then, it’s the small, daily actions that compound over time to create the big income and big team building results you’re seeking.
Here are quick examples of the power of consistency:
We have a woman in our community who five years ago was struggling. She grabbed our Digital Recruiting Bootcamp, learned the skills we teach, and has added over 100,000 to her team in the last two years even as the leadership of companies like Beachbody and Rodan & Fields can’t seem to figure out how to navigate the new school of networking.
I read the Bible every morning. It’s that consistency that’s helped me develop a more personal relationship with our Most High God.
Anthony Robbins said, “It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.”
Jim Rohn said, “Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.”
But God already said all that. We reap what we sow.
