Biblical example of leadership when, like the current political situation of fear and uncertainty around the Trump vs Kamala election surrounds us, we can trust in God to pave the way.
In the book of Joshua, we learn of how Joshua needed to trust God when He told him and his people to surround Jericho without engaging in battle.
Instead, they were to circle the walled city while blowing the rams’ horns. They were to do this seven days, and on the 7th day, blow the last horn and all the people were to shout in order to watch the great city’s walls fall down flat.
What do you think many of the Israelites started murmuring? “Umm, okay” 🙂 Right?
Through this act of faith in the Lord’s instructions, the great city of Jericho’s walls came tumbling down.
There’s archaeological proof of this as well.
Leadership lesson?
There are so many, but one that I take from it is that we mustn’t succumb to the fear mongering that comes out of the political process. That fear can take us mentally out of the game if we’re not careful.
Instead, trust in God. Know that He walks with you and will see you through, even when those walls seem too high and too powerful and too scary.
If you want to know how to lead a team in network marketing, don’t say this:
“I’m so upset about the Trump Kamala election fight that I can’t focus on building my network marketing business.”
It was one of my clients who said she needs to put her business building efforts on hold because she’s just that stressed out about whether Kamala or Trump wins.
I was shocked, and I encourage you to pay attention to the very end because I’m going to give you my thoughts on this and give you one actionable thing that you can do today to make sure you don’t allow Trump or Kamala to destroy your ability to lead a network marketing team and business like it sounds like many other network marketers are doing right now.

OK. So when my client told me she’s so upset about the Kamala vs Trump fight that she can’t concentrate on her business right now, my jaw about hit the floor. Look, my friend, you cannot let politics and the fear machine called the media derail you from building your future, right? I mean, because next what’s coming up after this, then it will be.
Thanksgiving and then Christmas and then the news tells you there’s another war that started somewhere or natural disaster somewhere. I mean, it never ends, right? The distractions never end in the media. And look, I’m not perfect with this. You know, I have to fight my own urge uh, around these things that I see happening out there or, uh, you know, going back and forth on some views that I may or may not agree with. Right?
But I do fight that urge. Because it’s my responsibility to my family’s financial well being that has to be the first thing at the forefront of my mind. So I encourage you to think along those same lines. It’s super important. Uh, you know, If you let what somebody is saying on social media uh, about anything in the news, uh, and you let that play out, distraction keep you from being super focused on what’s the next next step in your business…
Who is it gonna hurt? It’s gonna hurt you and your family down the line, right? And really this To me, this is all about all of us you and myself included just getting better day by day on leading ourselves. Right? Being responsible to our own families. Look, one side is going to win. We know that, right? But you and I need to build our businesses now before the election.
And then when the election happens and one of them wins, no matter who it is, we got to still keep our focus on building our businesses beyond that timeframe. Right? So the first real big thing that I would love to have you take from this video is really focus in that. And own, right? own that you can only control your mind, its thoughts, and then from that, your actions.
And the second big thing is, you really gotta focus in on where are your current leadership and marketing skills. Are you deficient in any area? Right? And I would just, do what I do. You know? Turn off the political arguments. Do your voting, right? Because all you can control is who you vote for. And then do the vote.
And then let the chips fall where they may. And then what that allows you to do, if you just think about, okay, I know who I’m going to vote for 📍
and I’m going to invest the next you know, 75 days or so between now and the election to just

invest the next 75 days, improving whatever area you need to improve in to build your business.
And then when either Kamala or Trump wins, you just from there keep doing that right keep building your business. So focus on, you know how do you lead you and your team during these troubling times? It goes to a word I like to use quite a bit called resiliency. If you think about it It’s exactly as an example how Moses led the Israelites It’s an example if you think about a biblical story of how Moses led the Israelites for 40 years. He got upset during those time that time frame.
He wanted to quit. He complained to God. But in the end, he remained resilient and just followed God’s instructions. You need a battle plan that provides you the instructions and the specific goals that you need to achieve to help your family win financially. That’s why you’re in business, right? Then you need to remain resilient, no matter what people are arguing about over here or there regarding politics.
I mean, look, if you love Trump, stop getting upset at what Kamala is doing. You can’t control that. If you love Kamala, stop getting upset about what Trump’s over here doing, right? You can’t control what he’s doing. Both of these people answered a big think tanks anyway, not you and I. So focus on what you can control.
You, Your family is counting on YOU to make your business get rocking and rolling, right? The Kamala Trump fight is destroying network marketing businesses out there from people who decide to make it that thing in their life that causes them to not do what they got to do in the business. But let’s make sure it’s not destroying your business.
That’s my focus in helping you. Okay. Now, the third big thing I’d love to have you take from this video is an action of committing to turning off the news. This is something i’ve learned over the years that real big leaders do (business leaders) they know how to commit to turning off the news. It doesn’t mean you don’t keep track of what’s going on out there. It’s just that you don’t have a constant internal consumption of the negativity that’s out there. Right?
Look, you already know who you’re voting for, right? If you love Trump, there’s nothing I can say to change your mind to go vote for Kamala. If you love Kamala, there’s nothing I can say to make you go vote for Trump. Right? So what I’m saying is, vote for who you need to vote for, but commit to shutting down the drama.
Don’t engage with that stuff on social media. The only thing I want you doing on social media…
I want to help you as much as I can through this type of content to make more money in your life, right? Again, the Bootcamp will teach you how to do that on social media. So grab it if you know you need skills in those areas on social media. But this is the quickest path to your next sale. The quickest path to getting taken out of the game and letting down your family is allowing the Kamala vs.
Trump fight out there to get inside your head. Right? The quickest path to get you to the next sale is to get you to focus and commit to working only on my business. That’s got to be the number one priority day by day by day. Right? And by the way, I’d love to make this a little bit of fun and bring some community to all of this.
And you know what? I’d love to make this fun together and bring some community to all of this. So action number one. COMMIT! To it. Commit to making your business the number one priority and staying away from all the drama. Action number two, to make this more of a community thing, comment on this video that you’re committed to this challenge. Comment something like “I accept the challenge, Matt.” Or something like that, and then go do it.
Right. Go make this a big deal in your life. Go make money. Don’t get into arguments or become stressed out and have no energy left to build toward your future. To put more money in your family’s pockets will solve many of the political. To put more money in your family’s pockets will solve many of the political things that you and I and all of us are worrying about right now.
We can’t control most of it. We just can’t. But we can control our actions and our commitment to our own leadership. And remember, we cannot lead others until we know how to lead ourselves. It’s impossible. So to recap everything I’ve talked about on this video. Number one. Own that you can only control your mind, its thoughts, and your actions.
Number two, you gotta focus on where your leadership and marketing skills are deficient and improve those. And number three, commit to turning off the news and negative social media stuff until your business is humming along nicely. Let me ask you, has this message helped you?
