Don’t get down because you aren’t alone. It’s quite normal in network marketing, and It Works!, in particular, to struggle to get the business moving.

Why Wrapreneurs Fail To Make Money Inside The It Works! MLM Opportunity
The common advice for ramping up your It Works! MLM business is:
- Put together a warm market contact list
- Post incessantly on social media with It Works! product pics
This is absolutely horrible advice and I’ll help you see why and what the better methods are all the way throughout this post.
First of all, the warm contact list.
Look, just because I might be your friend, family member or coworker doesn’t mean I have any interest in losing weight, personal care products or running a network marketing business.
This is why most people you talk to about It Works!, MLM and losing weight run the other way…
…they’re afraid you’re going to bring it up again and again.
The problem with this “marketing” technique is you aren’t talking purposefully to people who have the problems your products solve. Instead, you’re talking to people just because you happen to be near them.
How MLM companies believe that’s “marketing”, I have no idea.
You run into the same challenges when posting It Works! product images on your Instagram, Twitter or Facebook accounts.
Posting On Social Media Isn’t The Answer For Selling It Works!
If you think posting product pics is going to help you sell more It Works! products or add more Wrapreneurs to your team…
…well, I gotta tell you that you’re in for disappointment.
Imagine going to a local networking meeting for just a moment. Would you ever walk into the event and immediately start yelling at everybody:
Hey you people! I’m a Wrapreneur with It Works! Global!!!! That means I sell some awesome products that help you lose weight or take care of your personal care needs!! It’s awesome stuff, let me tell you!!!! Get over here and buy some stuff from me right now!!! Then, we gotta get you signed up as a Wrapreneur so you and I can get filthy rich together!!! Let’s do it NOW!!!!!!!!
I know this would be the most bizarre thing to do and you’re probably laughing a little right now thinking about doing it.
The challenge is that selling It Works!…
…whether it’s the MLM business opportunity stuff or product pics…
…it all comes across the wrong way when you do it this way on your social media accounts.
Bad Example: Selling It Works! On Social Media
Your Facebook friends or Instagram contacts are annoyed when all they see is your personal infomercial cluttering up their feeds.
You can test this idea against how many products you’ve sold or how many Wrapreneurs you’ve added to your downline by doing this.
Most likely, you’re thoroughly frustrated by the fact that your posting efforts are largely ignored…
…or even met with some angry responses.
It’s OK. I used to do the same stuff. LOL
I’m happy to report there’s a much better way to make money with It Works!
Learn How Selling For It Works! Is Possible…And Can Seem Effortless & Fun
The way to start selling It Works! successfully is to stop talking about It Works!
Instead, your job is to create value for your prospects and leads. You will do this by solving their problems and serving them before telling them about your products.
If you truly want to know how to make money with It Works!, then make a commitment to a method that attracts prospects already interested in solving the problems It Works! products solve.
What are the problems your best prospects want to solve?
- They want to lose weight
- They want to feel better about themselves
- They want to find natural ways to become healthier
There are many more. Brainstorm them out and then explain to your prospects how your products are the best fit.
However, don’t do it by posting a bunch of annoying product or business opportunity posts on social media. Stop yelling at them. Start educating them first.
Your next step is to date your customers before asking them to marry you.
Ask For The Sale (Get Married) After Educating First (Date Them)
What would you do if someone you had just met asked you to marry them? Wouldn’t you run the other way as fast as humanly possible?
Of course you would. It’s too soon to talk marriage when you haven’t had a first date yet.
Don’t mention It Works! yet. It’s far too soon for that.
You’re in the weight loss and personal care niche as an It Works! Wrapreneur. Educate them about those topics.
The next that happens is your It Works! leads start seeing you as a helpful, or trusted advisor. They start trusting you. They actually come to you asking for product recommendations so they can more effectively put your tips to work.
See what’s happening?
You’re not chasing after people just because you happen to know them. Instead, you’re educating prospects who are truly interested in solving the problems you can solve with your product line.
And they’re interested in buying from you because you served them first via education.
Mindset: This Is Where It Might Stop You From Successfully Selling It Works!
You might start thinking negative thoughts after hearing me talk about the need to create online content.
Your mind might say things like:
- “I don’t know how to create content”
- “I’m not good enough”
- “I don’t know enough yet”
- “This seems too hard”
- “I’ll just post more pics & pray to the heavens that someone miraculously buys something”
Don’t allow your mind to get you off track and sabotage your ability to build your It Works! MLM business.
Did you know you create content all the time?
- You do it when you recommend a great movie to someone.
- You also do it when recommending a restaurant, a car or any other product.
You take what you like about something and re-word it in your own unique way.
Take a fresh look at this idea of creating content. Stop thinking of yourself as a simple It Works! consultant. Stop following what every other Wrapreneur is doing.
Think like a health and wellness entrepreneur who is going to learn how to market professionally.
Commit to becoming strategic with the way you create content. Use it as a business tool going forward and your It Works! MLM business will start growing.
Guess what? You don’t need to be an expert either…
Follow the Journey Approach & Build Your It Works! MLM Business w/o The Need For Driving Around Town Doing Home Parties
Are you worried that you’re too new to this? Worried that you don’t know enough to share valuable tips and information about weight loss?
You’re obviously excited about It Works! and everything the products do.
The next step is to post what you’ve learned online. Tell people you learned something new and want to share it.
You’re sharing the general information, not It Works! That comes a bit later.
When you share what you’ve learned as online content, tell people you’re going on a journey. Tell them you’ll continue posting great health information as you learn more.
Invite them on the journey with you.
See what happened there?
You’re not promising anyone that you’re a health and weight loss “guru”. You’re simply being yourself and inviting them to follow along with you.
Selling It Works! By Putting Your Prospects First
Do some research. Uncover the problems people have inside your health and wellness niche.
- What questions do they have?
- What do they wish someone would teach them?
- What problems have caused them to become overweight?
- What do they worry about?
Use your Google searches or It Works! training and provide your prospects tips and helpful information that allows them to solve some of their problems.
People love following a journey and learning in this way. You’ll feel authentic because you’re putting their needs ahead of your own at first.
And, you’ll attract people who start asking about what you’re doing.
They’ll ask because they see you as a trusted advisor. You’re not another annoying network marketer yelling and screaming online about how great your products and company might be.
They’ll see that you understand how to talk to people professionally.
There’s one last thing I need to reveal before I can show you how to get started with this new way for selling your It Works! MLM business and products.
Let’s make sure you don’t make the mistake of falling for the hype that says you’re simply another It Works! consultant.
It Works! MLM Business Goals: Following The Wrong Plan Will Derail Them
It’s true there are certain advantages to network marketing. It helps you with the following advantages:
- You’re encouraged to think like a businessperson, instead of an employee
- You’re exposed to amazing personal development material
- You’re taught to overcome rejection
On the other hand, MLM causes a major problem for you.
All other businesses make a strong attempt at becoming unique in comparison to their competitors. Your local mechanic differentiates himself from his competitors.
Plumbers work on looking and performing in a way that’s different from other plumbers.
- Banks do this
- So do lawyers and restaurants
- Ecommerce sites and bloggers know how important uniqueness is to success
Network marketers are told to post the same silly stuff on social media.
There’s nothing that differentiates you from any other It Works! consultant. Network marketing companies are stuck in 1988 and teach this dumb stuff that doesn’t work anymore.
Many owners of network marketing companies don’t give their distributors enough credit. They don’t think reps are smart enough to run their businesses like true entrepreneurs.
This is a mistake and if you don’t fix it on your own, then you’re setting yourself up for failure.
You need to create your uniqueness so there’s a reason for your prospects to buy from you and not all the other the It Works! Wrapreneurs doing the same stuff you are to get attention.
MLM Disadvantage: They Aren’t Upfront About The “Numbers”
It’s likely you’ve watched It Works! compensation plan videos or attended live “ra ra” meetings where they got you pumped up about the money you can make.
Those types of It Works! MLM business resources that talk about selling It Works! aren’t upfront about how many people you need to make contact with in order to create sales and distributors.
Here are the numbers:
You need to talk to 100 people if you want to close 3 distributors or product sales.
Do you now see why you’re feeling frustration about your lack of results?
There’s simply not enough time in a month to sleep, work, spend time with family, eat and also talk to 100 people about your business.
And that’s just to make 3 sales! How do you make more than 3 sales? Go talk to an additional 100 people?
Posting product pics on Facebook just isn’t going to cut it.
The other network marketing negative is you don’t actually own your business.
Someone might have tried telling you that you do, but read the agreement when you signed when joining It Works! You’ll notice the company owns your book of business.
The Solution? Geez, Matt! This Ain’t Sounding Good…How Can I Get Good At Selling It Works!?
I’m happy you asked because that’s when you can start making positive change.
The solution is to get good at a few effective Internet marketing methods.
What do you do when you’re interested in learning something new or solving a problem?
You go to Pinterest, Google or YouTube and search for answers, right?
So do your best It Works! prospects!
And this is how you start thinking like a true entrepreneur, not just like any other It Works! Wrapreneur. This is when you start becoming unique.
Your best It Works! leads are online right now and typing in things like this:
- How can I lose weight fast naturally?
- How do you lose belly fat?
- How do you speed up weight loss?
- How can I make my skin look younger?
How might your It Works! business change for the better if you had a few online assets in place that answered these questions?
How would you like to get found by the people asking these questions when they ask Google or social media how to lose weight, etc?
Here’s one important thing to know:
Nobody got out of bed this morning and asked themselves where they can find the best It Works! products or distributor.
Your best target market doesn’t know about It Works! or you.
They know they have the problems your products solve. Your job is to get good at putting quality content in front of them as they search for answers.
Take the time now to put this content on a blog or on social media now….
….those people will find you. They will make contact with you and ask about your product solutions. You won’t need to chase people anymore or face rejection by talking to the wrong people.
