MLM is short for multi-level marketing and it’s a type of business model where you earn commissions by selling products and recruiting other people to do the same.
You can also earn commissions on the sales of the people that you recruit, which is how you can create a “downline” and make money from their efforts as well.
Is MLM a Pyramid Scheme or Scam?
No, MLM is not a pyramid or scam.
Pyramid schemes are illegal in the United States and Canada, while MLM is legal in both countries.
There are a few key differences between pyramid schemes and ACN network marketing:

Anytime you hear someone say “only the people at the top make all the money”, you should know this reflects a severe misunderstanding about the direct selling business model.
Inside all MLM companies, including the ACN business, there exists an opportunity for a new ACN independent business owner to join, outwork their upline, and earn more money than the “people at the top”.
Unlike most people who provide their opinion that direct sales are a scam…

Remember, an illegal pyramid scheme is like that Bernie Madoff scam, where you get people to give you money for non-existent investment opportunities.
A valid direct selling company offers products for sale.
ACN independent business owners never make a dime recruiting you.
They make money selling ACN products.
When you’re an ACN rep and recruit people, you can’t get rich making money “off” them.
You can only earn money if those ACN reps go on to successfully sell ACN-provided services.
Ain’t nothing illegal about that. It’s just the same as a real estate broker “housing” a bunch of real estate agents in his or her office, and earning money when those agents go off and sell homes for their own personal commissions.

ACN Lawsuit
So, why is there at least one ACN lawsuit?
Honestly, it’s because most people don’t understand how to grow any type of business (not just MLM).
One woman in the lawsuit claims that she “invested” a few hundred dollars into the ACN business opportunity, sold ACN services to three family members, and didn’t make much money.
Logic tells us that anyone who makes three sales of anything will lose money and never become one of the success stories.
C’mon now.
If I built an online course, sold to three customers, and then sued the guy who taught me how to create courses, my hosting company, the course-hosting service, and the domain registrar because the entire Internet marketing world is a scam…
Exactly.
You’d laugh me out of court.
Look, most of us were taught through 15 years of school to punch time clocks as employees.

If you want to take advantage of the opportunity, here are a few quick ideas for getting MLM leads, acquiring customers, and attracting new recruits.
Use Online Marketing
First, don’t act like a victim, as people in lawsuits do.
Instead, focus on mastering Internet marketing techniques to get great at attracting new customers and recruiting people.
Use these methods and you’ll out-earn those “people at the top” as I did in my companies.
Blogging: Write blog posts that rank in Google and attract organic traffic from people searching for information related to the ACN product line.
Social Media: Use social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to drive traffic back to your blog or website. For example, get good at MLM Facebook posts.
Paid Ads: Run ads on Google, Facebook, or other platforms targeting people who are interested in saving money with the services you offer as an ACN representative.
Remember, you don’t make money off new reps that you recruit.
You only make money when they go out and successfully sell services to customers.
The more customers you and your team accumulate, the more money you and your team will earn.
Kind of like all businesses, huh?
