What I’m talking about is the way most Beachbody coaches are taught to do it. Yelling about your products or business opportunity is like walking into a local networking event and screaming at the top of your lungs:
“Hey all you guys! I’m a Beachbody coach and I sell this great Shakeology thing!! You gotta come over here right now and buy some from me so we can curb your cravings and get your butt in shape!!! And then I’m gonna get you to sign up as a coach with me and we gonna get rich baby!!! Let’s do it NOW!!!!!!”
You’re probably cracking up a bit thinking about doing that LOL
Unfortunately, posting product pictures and business opportunity crap on Instagram or Facebook is about the same thing.
Nobody cares. You’re yelling all that stuff out to unqualified prospects.
You think you’re about to generate a bunch of Beachbody leads…
…but you’re only annoying people because you don’t really know what to do or say.
And I’ll bet you cringe when you do it because deep down it doesn’t feel right.

- How quickly can I lose weight?
- What is the healthiest way to lose weight?
- How do you hit your fitness goals?
If you have content that answers those questions, you’ll definitely make money with Beachbody.
I’m simply showing you how to take advantage of the way people act on the Internet. They search for solutions first. Then, they decide to buy from people who provide quality answers to their questions
Remember, your best Beachbody leads didn’t wake up today asking, “Who is the best Beachbody coach I can buy some stuff from today”.
Instead, they woke up feeling out of shape and wanting to know how to fix the situation. You’ll make money with Beachbody if your social media or blog post appears when they search, “how can I lose my belly fat”.
So, stop talking about Beachbody and start solving problems.

Don’t make the mistake of listening to your mind when it says, “who am I to offer up tips for people who need to lose weight or have fitness goals? I don’t know enough yet.”

You don’t need to be inauthentic by propping yourself up as a fitness “guru”.
One of the questions I often get at this point is, “Matt, but I’m not in 100% fantastic shape myself yet. How can I teach others any of this? I need to get in better shape first.”
You’re missing a golden opportunity to make money with Beachbody here.
Don’t lie and don’t try to be something you’re not.
Instead, simply invite your Beachbody leads to come on a journey with you. You tell them that you’re excited about fitness and weight loss. You tell them that you’re learning some great stuff about it and that you’re going to continue learning.
You tell them you’re getting in the best shape of your life and invite them to follow you along on your journey. The more you learn, you promise to teach them the same stuff.
As long as you keep learning great fitness, weight loss and exercise tips, you keep putting it out there for them to learn, too. As you do, you position Beachbody on the back-end of those tips and they’ll start becoming your customers.

By the way, be careful about depending only on Beachbody to bring you leads. One of the problems with network marketing is that you don’t own anything.
Yes, I know they try to tell you that you’re starting your “own” business, but it’s not accurate. Read the agreement you signed when joining Beachbody and you’ll find that the company “owns” your book of customers.

The other network marketing negative is that those hokey marketing techniques keep every network marketer from developing their own unique voice.
This is a big deal!
Every other business in the world works hard to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
For example, a local mechanic shop must provide a unique marketing “voice” from that of their competing shops.
An attorney must figure out how to stand out from the other lawyers. Bloggers do this. Ecommerce businesses do it. Airlines do it.
Everybody does it…except, you guessed it: Network marketers.
Network marketers are told to mindlessly post product pictures on social media and repelling customers instead of attracting them.
You need to figure out how to make yourself unique from those other Beachbody coaches AND all other network marketers posting all those same messages everywhere.
Another area network marketing companies fail in is properly explaining the sales numbers. Your Beachbody meetings are filled with hype and big numbers. But you need to know this:
You must talk to at least 100 prospects in order to close 3 sales.
That’s why posting on social media or hitting people up offline makes success almost impossible. You don’t have the time to do all that, plus eat, work your job and spend time with your family.
